Kristen Stirling, MSN, APRN, FNP

Kristen Stirling is your dermatology provider and the founder of Tennessee Telederm. Kristen is a lifelong Tennessean with many years of dermatology and general medicine experience, which include medical dermatology, skin care, wound healing and infection control.

After graduation from the Belmont University School of Nursing, Kristen joined the Burn Unit at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She then moved into private dermatology practice with a large multi-specialty group in Nashville, first as a Registered Nurse, then as a Nurse Practitioner in 2012.

Kristen’s experience, knowledge and personable nature are all key factors in why she has built lasting relationships with her patients, many of whom have been seeing Kristen for years.

Kristen began offering telehealth appointments during the early months of the pandemic. Tennessee Telederm was formed in November 2020 as a result of the popularity of telehealth appointments.

More recently, Kristen began seeing patients in-office two days per week. In collaboration with Haney GYN, women of all ages can now be seen in-office for any dermatology condition including skin exams and procedures.

“It is my firm belief that everyone should have access to high-quality, medical dermatology care, without waiting months or spending half a day traveling and waiting to be seen. Furthermore we refuse to cycle patients through our clinic like an assembly line. Good care requires time and patient-provider interaction,” Kristen Stirling, Founder of Tennessee TeleDerm.

Kristen lives in Nashville with her husband and sons. She enjoys reading, sports, travel, and advocacy work.

Yes! Because we want to give you the best experience possible. Make sure when you take a picture that you’re in a room with good lighting and that your camera is in focus.

No. Both Accutane (Isotretinoin) and Hormonal Contraceptives are best managed in an office setting. When you meet with a provider in-office, they can give you better education about the risks of medication. They’re also better equipped to watch over your treatment. Because both of these medications present certain risks that require a provider to carefully manage your treatment.

Finally, your provider can also handle any routine blood work necessary for your medication plan.
